Indonesia: Island paradise Karimun Jawa

Karimun Jawa is a group of islands at the northcoast of Java. Shireen and I decide to stay there for a few days.

There are not many tourists, so it is easy to find a place at the beach to pitch the tent

The water is very clear, you can go snorkeling right ftom the beach

One night there is a thunderstorm, but it is far away

During Ramadan many people go to the mosque in the evening

This is a really relaxed place

A small shop and restaurant are managed by a nice family

Family portrait – theyr dream is it to build some bungalows or a small guesthouse. For now they rent only one room in their house.
